Thank you for taking part in the Jigsaw Run at Dunsfold Park on Sunday 30th November 2014.
It is shaping up to be a fantastic event, with entries slightly ahead of this time last year, putting us on track to have over 300 runners on the day. Please help spread the word on Twitter and by joining the event on Facebook.
This email contains your final event briefing. Please read this information carefully and let us know if you have any questions.

Race HQ and the Registration Desk is Cafe on the Park, which is located at Building 61, Dunsfold Park, Stovolds Hill, Cranleigh, Surrey, GU6 8TB.
Please use the Stovolds Park entrance to Dunsfold Park only and follow directions to the Event Car Park which is a very short walk to Race HQ and a short (5-10 minute walk) to the start/finish line.
There is adequate free parking at this event, although we request that you please share transport where possible.
Registration and start time
The Magic Mile race starts at 10am, with the 10k Race starting at 10.30am.
Jigsaw’s patron Kim Robson from 96.4 Eagle Radio will introduce the run and both races will be started by Kim.
The registration desk opens at 8.45am, so please arrive in plenty of time to collect your race number and use the facilities before the start of the race. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the registration desk to the race start, so please leave plenty of time to register and get to the start of the race. The registration desk closes at 9.45am for participants in the Magic Mile and 10.15am for 10k Race participants.
Sports massage from Laura Bartlett will be available pre- and post-race in return for a small donation to the Jigsaw Trust. This will be situated at the Race HQ/Registration Desk.
Baggage and key drop
A supervised baggage area will be available at Race HQ/Registration Desk, although please note all bags will be left at your own risk. The race organisers accept no responsibility for any loss or damage.
As you might prefer to leave any valuable items securely locked in your vehicle, a key drop will also be available at Race HQ. Keys will only be released on presentation of your race number.
Facilities and refreshments
Toilets and changing facilities will be available at Race HQ. There will also be toilets near the start/finish line. There are no showers at this event.
There will be a water station at the finish (and halfway point for the 10k), kindly sponsored and manned by sponsors The Original Supper Box Co., with free energy gels supplied by High5 Nutrition.
All finishers will receive a chocolate bar and banana in their goody bag, courtesy of lead sponsor Informed Choice.
Refreshments are also available from Cafe on the Park, which will be open for hot drinks and food, before and after the event.
This event takes place on paved surfaces, along the main runway (Magic Mile and 10k) and perimeter roads (10k) at Dunsfold Park. The surface is, in some places, slightly uneven so please watch out for any obstacles underfoot.
Part of the route is shared with site traffic, so please pay attention to your surroundings at all times and follow the instructions of event marshals.
In the interests of safety, MP3 players and similar devices using headphones are not permitted at this event. You will be disqualified and asked to leave the event if you are seen wearing headphones.
Health and safety
You should not participate in this event if you have been feeling unwell or have recently been unwell, even if you are raising money for charity. Most medical emergencies in races occur in people who have been unwell but did not wish to miss the event.
If you feel feverish, have been vomiting, have had severe diarrhoea or any chest pains, or otherwise feel unwell, then do not participate in this event. It is unfair to you, your family, the organisers and all involved to risk a medical emergency.
Medical cover on the day is being kindly provided by St John’s Ambulance.
Please write your contact and any medical details on the back of your race number before the run. If you find yourself or another runner in any difficulty, please alert a marshall or St John’s Ambulance immediately.

Results and timing
Results will be posted at www.jigsawrun.co.uk as soon as possible following the event. We aim to get them posted within 24 hours.
The Magic Mile makes use of stopwatch timing. When you cross the finish line, please make sure your race number is clearly visible and stay in the position in which you finished until the volunteers have recorded your details.
Chip timing from Sports Systems is being used for the 10k race this year. You will be given your race number and timing chip when you register on the morning; nothing will be sent in the post. Please follow the instructions on the chip timing pack and make sure you return your chip before leaving Dunsfold Park.
All proceeds from this event are going to Jigsaw Trust (Charity Number 1075464) which provides for the educational needs of children and young adults with autism, and Eagle Radio Trust (Charity Number 1126651), founded in July 2007 as a small charity trust providing an umbrella for the radio station’s charity work in Surrey and Hampshire.
