Address: Dunsfold Park, Stovolds Hill, Cranleigh, Surrey, GU6 8TB.
Please use the Stovolds Hill main entrance to Dunsfold Park only (all other access points are closed at weekends) and follow directions to the Car Parks which are a short walk to the Registration Desk. You will be directed where to park by our marshals. There is adequate free parking at this event, although we do request that you please share transport where possible.
The Registration Desk will be outside the Jigsaw School playground opposite the main Car Park.
Registration and start time
The 10k Race will start at 10.30am. Jigsaw’s patron, Kim Robson from Eagle Radio, will introduce and start the race. The Registration Desk opens at 8.45am, so please arrive in plenty of time to collect your race number and use the facilities before the start of the race.
It is a 5 minute walk from the Registration Desk to the race start, so please leave plenty of time to register and get to the start line. The Registration Desk closes at 10.10am.
Facilities and refreshments
Please note there are NO CHANGING FACILITIES this year – please come fully prepared. There will be a limited number of toilets available but there will be no showers at this event. Water is being supplied by Waitrose Godalming and Waitrose Horsham. There will be a water station at the halfway point, at the end of the race and course marshals will also have a limited supply of water.
Refreshments will also be available from Cafe2u (hot drinks, soft drinks and snacks).
Results and timing
A results link will be posted at www.jigsawrun.co.uk following the event. We aim to get this posted the same day. Chip timing from Sports Systems is being used for the 10k race and you will be given your race number and timing chip when you register on the morning; nothing will be sent in the post. Please follow the instructions on the chip timing pack and please make sure you return your chip before leaving Dunsfold Park.
The course has been measured and licensed by United Kingdom Athletics (Licence Number: 2016-26806).
A short warm up led by Rob Dale from Pulborough Vineyards Run will take place at the Start Line at 10.20am. The race will start promptly at 10:30am by Jigsaw’s patron, Kim Robson of Eagle Radio.
The race organisers accept no responsibility for any loss or damage. As you might prefer to leave any valuable items securely locked in your vehicle, a key drop will be available at the Registration Desk. Items will then be available for collection at the Finish Line. They will only be released on presentation of your race number.
This event takes place on tarmac surfaces, along the main runway and perimeter roads at Dunsfold Park. The surface is, in some places, slightly uneven so please watch out for any obstacles underfoot. Part of the route is shared with site traffic, so please pay attention to your surroundings at all times and follow the instructions of event marshals.
In the interests of safety, MP3 players and similar devices using headphones are not permitted at this event. You will be disqualified and asked to leave the event if you are seen wearing headphones.
Health and safety
You should not participate in this event if you have been feeling unwell or have recently been unwell, even if you are raising money for charity. Most medical emergencies in races occur to people who have been unwell but did not wish to miss the event. If you feel feverish, have been vomiting, have had severe diarrhoea or any chest pains, or otherwise feel unwell, then do not participate in this event. It is unfair to you, your family, the organisers and all involved to risk a medical emergency. Medical cover on the day is being kindly provided by St John’s Ambulance.
Please write your contact and any medical details on the back of your race number before the run. If you find yourself or another runner in any difficulty, please alert a marshal or St John’s Ambulance immediately.
All proceeds from this event are going to Jigsaw Trust (Charity Number 1075464) which supports children and adults with autism. For more information go to www.jigsawschool.co.uk and www.jigsawplus.co.uk.
This event could not take place without the kind sponsorship of a number of local businesses. Firstly, a huge thank you goes to Dunsfold Park Ltd, for supporting us and for providing such a unique venue. Secondly, to Informed Choice, an award-winning firm of Chartered Financial Planners working with individuals in Surrey to provide Retirement Advice, Investment Management, Care Fees Planning and Financial Planning. Thanks also to Firebird Brewing, Rob Dale (Pulborough Run), Cafe2U, St John’s Ambulance, Waitrose Godalming, Waitrose Horsham, Cranleigh Lions and all volunteers.
Promotional photography will be taken throughout the event and may be used in local press, social media and Jigsaw websites.
